Ways to
create an event
Click an empty time in your calendar
1. Open Google Calendar.
2. Click any time on the calendar that doesn't already have an
event scheduled.
3. Enter your event name.
4. If you have multiple calendars, choose the calendar where you
want to add the event from the "Calendar" dropdown menu.
5. Click Create event. To edit the details for your
event, click Edit event instead.
Tip: To
create a longer event, drag your mouse down the page while you're selecting the
time.

2. In the top left corner, click Create.
3. Add a title to the event, and any event details.
4. If you have multiple calendars, choose the calendar where you
want to add the event from the "Calendar" dropdown menu.
5. At the top of the page, click Save.

2. In the top left corner, click the down arrow menu next to Create
.
3. Add a description for your event and the time (optional).
4. Click Add.
Tips for creating
"quick add" events
· You can
include an event name, location, and time, and that information will
automatically be added to the event details
· If you
enter an event with no date, it will be added at the next available time in the
future
· If you
don't enter a start time, an all-day event will show up
· If you
don't enter an end time, an hour-long event will show up
Recurring event examples
· Weekly:
Tennis practice Tuesday at 7pm weekly
· Monthly:
Dinner at Mom's the first Wednesday of every month
· Yearly:
Dad's birthday May 17 each year
Note: If you don't
specify an end date, the event will repeat 365 times.

Create
an all-day event
1. Open Google Calendar.
2. In the top left corner, click Create.
3. Add a description for your event.
4. Under the date and time, check the box next to All day.
5. Click Add.
You'll see all-day events at the top of the page for that day.

Add or remove video calls
When you add a video call to an event, your invitees can join a Google Hangout video call. Each video call
that's created has a unique URL that's specific to that event.
Turn automatic video
calls on or off
1. Open Google Calendar.
2. In the top right corner, click Settings >
Settings.
3. Next to "Automatically add video calls to events I
create," select Yes or No.
4. At the bottom of the page, click Save.
Add or remove
a video call from one event
1. Open Google Calendar.
2. In the top left corner, click Create.
3. In the "Video call" section, click Add video
call or Remove.
4. Click Save.
Pick
a color for your event
When you're creating an event, you can choose the color that
event will show as in your calendars. Colors are private, so nobody will see
what color you used, even if you shared your calendar with them.
1. Open Google Calendar.
2. In the top left corner, click Create.
3. Enter in your event details.
4. In the "Event color" section, choose a color.
5. At the top of the page, click Save.
Edit an
event you've created
1. Open Google Calendar.
2. Click on the event you want to edit > Event details.
3. Make changes to your event.
4. At the top of the page, click Save.
